previously known as “Ethnic India” was designed and developed by Webonautics.com as a part of its Infotainment Channel. “Ethnic India”
launched in September 2000, is all about India; the magic, allure and grandeur
of her bygone era and the flavor of her as she is today. It offers a series of
web sites that explore the varied dimensions of India; her infinite spectrum of
glorious heritage and tradition; rich cultural and natural wealth. As an ongoing
part of the series it currently includes Indian Divinity, Indian Dances and Indian
Festivals.
Ethnic India was featured in South Asian entertainment program called ISHTYLE
TV in the "Websites of the Week" segment. Ethnic India was presented
on Ishtyle TV on Saturday, December 15, 2001 at 12:30 p.m. (noon thirty EST).
Ishtyle TV airs on CFMT-TV in Toronto, Ontario (Canada).
 Ethnic
India and its existing series of web sites is currently being re-designed and
re-developed in phases with a new look and new title “Mayukhi.com”.
The team behind Mayukhi.com intends to incorporate more features, interactive
elements and more information with a new look and layout for the existing sites.
The existing series of web sites too will be re-designed and re-developed as a
part of new look, experience and information focused interactive environment Mayukhi.com
hopes to promote.
Mayukhi.com, the primary site under which the series of web sites will feature;
is now offering as a part of its new interactive experience “Mayukhi Forums” - a
purely informative, awareness, knowledge-base, fun and entertainment zone for
users to explore, discover, learn and share the varied dimensions of India. It
also includes a news section called “Indian Insight” which is a collection
of news links and updates of achievements in India and Indians around the world
in various fields. The re-development is in its first phase, in the coming phases and in stages Mayukhi.com
will be including information on “India – The Country”; which will provide
the most basic and required information about India.
